Made from a blend of washed and dried sand, fine shell particles and aniseed flavouring, it provides a granular mineral covering that is easy to spread and replace during routine cleaning.

White Sand for Bird Cages and Aviaries

Madox White Aniseed-Scented Sand is designed to cover the floors of cages and other bird enclosures suitable for sand bedding.

Its 0–2 mm particle size allows it to be distributed evenly across the surface.

It provides a practical mineral floor covering that can be renewed during routine cage cleaning, particularly when removing droppings and soiled areas.

A Blend of Sand and Fine Shell Particles

Madox White Aniseed-Scented Sand combines three ingredients:

• Washed and dried sand: the main component of the floor covering.

• Fine dried shell particles: providing a varied mineral texture.

• Aniseed flavouring: giving the sand its characteristic fragrance.

The blend naturally contains grains in different shades of white, yellow and brown.

A Pleasant Aniseed Fragrance

The product has a stated aniseed fragrance shelf life of 24 months, provided it is stored under the recommended conditions.

This refers to fragrance retention during storage and does not indicate how long the scent will last once the sand has been spread inside a cage.
